Frequently Asked Questions
What is coaching?
Coaching is a partnership between the coach and the client, designed to be an alliance to co-actively maximize the client's personal and professional potential. The client is in charge, the relationship is focused on the client getting the results they want. The coach ensures the clients are always steering towards fulfillment and balance, and are able to engage in the processes to achieve these in their lives.
Coaches work with clients in all areas including business, career, financial, health and wellness, and relationships, in a confidential manner. The coaching relationship provides a safe environment in which a client receives honest feedback and direction, in a non-judgmental, caring way.
How and when would the coaching take place?
Coaching is typically done by telephone and is arranged to fit the client's and coach's schedules. Sessions can be 30-, 40-, or 60-minutes long, two, three or four times a month.
How much does coaching cost?
Coaching is a financial investment and a personal commitment. Clients don't get a coach because they "need" one. They get a coach because they WANT a coach--to have a more fulfilling, rewarding life. And as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. To decide the value of coaching for you, call us to schedule a sample session.
How long does the coaching last?
Professional coaches work with clients for various periods of time, with a preference for a minimum three month commitment. Often executives retain the same coach for three years or more. Coaching is not designed to be a miracle "cure," but a series of conversations helping the client identify goals and dreams that are not being currently realized and to become aware of behaviors that are impacting the client's ability to reach a fulfilling life.
Occasionally a client just needs a quick perspective--so the coach and client will talk one time.
How do I know if the coach is right for me?
Three Degrees of Change provides a 30-minute sample session to determine if there's a "fit" between the client and coach. Sometimes there isn't and Three Degrees of Change is happy to recommend other coaches for the client to consider.
